Sony Walkman Unwired NWZ-W200
The latest TV ads on Sony Walkman Unwired have already created enough buzz for us to put some information on this amazing gadget. The Sony Walkman Unwired 
has been released by the model name of NWZ-W200.
At last we are free from those dangling cords and can listen to our favorite music freely without worrying of getting stuck or pulled. It is designed in a new wearable style with a flexible band connecting the two ear piece and has new ZAPPIN & Jog Dial controls for easy operation, making it a perfect companion irrespective of any activities.
To add music, videos or photos you simply have to drag and drop them from your PC and via a hi-speed USB connection. It has a large 13.5mm driver unit that support wide dynamic frequency range playback. Also you can expect high-fidelity treble and deep powerful bass delivered through soft silicon ear-buds making them comfortable to wear while insulating against any external noise. With Quick Charge Technology, it only takes three minutes to charge the device which can run up to 3 hours.
The capacity of Sony Unwired is 2GB with a multi audio codec support including MP3, AAC, WMA (DRM). It has a 12 hour battery life when fully charged. At present in India it costs around 5000 INR.

Sony recently launched the new Walkman Unwired NWZ-W202 2GB priced at Rs 4,990.To some the price may be high considering its capacity is only 2GB.But Innovative gadgets don’t come cheap.The Walkman W202 takes mobility to a new direction by completely cutting the wires.It looks good and sounds even better.No need to carry your dangling headphone wires along with your IPOD.The Walkman sports unique features such as Zappin which is very handy as there is no screen on this player. The Zappin feature plays the most rythamical part of the song for 4-10 seconds and then moves on to the next song.The controls are embeded on the right ear-piece of this player.There is a jog dial that controls the play/pause/forward/bacward/zappin-in/zappin-out functions on this player.A plastic cover has been provided to store the player when not in use(To prevent magnetic leakage).A USB stand is provided through which you can connect the player to the PC.The player charges while it is connected to the PC.3 min. of charge enables 90 min. of music playback and the overall time taken to charge the player varies from 30-90 min depending on the surrounding conditions.You can also charge this player with mobile charger(eg. Samsung Raga charger ).The battery lasted for 11.2 hours under normal usage which is good.The player is detected easily as soon it is connected to the PC.You can use the drag/drop function to transfer music files to this player or use the provided software.(Content Transfer 1.1).This player supports “mp3,aac,wma” audio formats.Now coming to the preformance,its ideal for the people on the move(For jogging,cycling,walking etc.)The ear-piece fits quite easily in the ears and remains fixed during any body motions.Sony has also provided 3 sets of earbuds for your convenience(Size “Small,Medium,Large”).The sound quality is good and is on the warmer side.The highs and the mids sound crystal clear and the bass is tight.Although the Bass lacks punch and doesn;t extend deep,this won;t be an issue unless you are a bass freak.The button response is good but may cause problems to people having large hands.This walkman is ideal for listening to Accoustic Pop,Jazz,Trance,Bollywood Pop.It sits around your neck when not in use so it is very convenient.FM Radio and Voice Recording feature is missing as quite understandingly there is not enough space to put these features in the player.There is also absence of 3.5 mm jacks and Audio-in jack so you can’t connect this player with speakers.Some models of walkman are known to be having problems with sweat as it is not waterproof.The sweat causes malfunction in this player if it enters through the USB HUB.So, beware buyer and find something to cover the USB HUB(I am using a rubber cover of old mobile).Overall, it is an excellant gadget that combines stellar design with good performance.
