The Dash by Sony is a Personal Internet Viewer specially designed for an exquisite touch experience. Dash brings you instant access to a variety of movies, TV episodes, videos and music from a large selection of entertainment apps including Netflix®, YouTube™, Slacker® and more2. It has a 800×480, 7″ WVGA LCD touch screen display that provides crystal clear photos and video from a wide viewing angle and has the capability to automatically adjust itself for an upright or tilted orientation. It also offers a premium entertainment experience with over 1,000 free apps from chumby® providing streaming personalized channel of news, games, social networking etc. Dash™ also acts as a compact audio multi-tool used for listening to Internet Radio with the built-in stereo speakers, or by using the headphone jack. The home interface of Dash™ is customizable to ones own personal need by using themes and installing favourite apps that can be displayed. It can access audio, video or photo content stored on mass storage USB devices by connecting to the USB port. It conveniently loads and displays photos from online services like Photobucket® or can simply load photos directly via USB. The touch screen user interface aids in setting effects, rotate photos, zoom, and play or pause photo slide shows.

Dash uses Wifi to connect to home or office networks. It supports WMV 9 & Mpeg 4 for video and MPEG-1 Layers I, II, III/MP3 (up to 320kbits/sec), MPEG-4 AAC-LC (up to 192kbits/sec), Windows® Media Audio 9 (up to 384kbit/sec) for audio. It comes with a Microphone socket, Headphone Jack slot and USB 2.o ports. The DC input for this device is 9.5 V, 1.5 A, 14.25 W.
