Reliance 3G Tablet

Reliance Communication in India has come up with a new 3G+Wi-Fi Tablet designed and made by a Chinese OEM. The device runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has a screen size of 7 inch just like Samsung Galaxy Tab. Even the Commercials on TV are trying to compare the device with the likeness of Samsung Galaxy Tab minus the steep price. It hosts a 512 MB RAM with a microSD slot that can be upgraded to 32 GB. It comes with a 4 GB pre-installed card memory. It also houses a 2 MP rear camera as well as a front facing camera.

The 7 inch Tablets seems like the most popular choice of consumers since these are much more pocket friendly and carriable. This is where Reilance is trying to make its entry for Tablets in CDMA segment. The feature set in this device is decent enough to motivate customers to buy it. Also, apparently the tablet will come preloaded with handy business & social networking apps such as Documents To Go, pushmail, Facebook, Twitter etc.

It has been priced at a very competitive rate of Rs 12,999 which makes it one of the cheapest tablet device in the market though one cannot buy the device by simply paying the amount. As it is a device linked with Reliance, one need to buy a data package that can be selected from bunch of packages. The company is also providing monthly as well as annual data plans to the consumers. Monthly data plans promises a saving of Rs 1,812 with 2 GB to Rs 4,812 with 5 GB of free data.

The device is being launched in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and other 3G enabled regions with others to follow soon. You can check various Reliance outlets & Reliance World for more information on availability and schemes. As to be seen, this Tablet can pose a serious threat to its competitors being rightfully priced and correctly placed.
