Numark X2 Turntable

Numark’s X2 is a hybrid turntable vinyl player that has a slot–load CD player with MP3 capability. It uses a Ultra high torque (4.5 kg·cm) direct drive motor which provides the long–term stability and durability for professionals. It has an adjustable pitch control for both 33 & 45 RPM vinyl records. X2 comes with Numark’s patented interchangeable ultra–precise aluminium straight or S–shaped tonearm with anti–skate adjustments. It has a solid core construction that is specifically designed for long–term dependable operation with its 12″ anti–drag aluminium platter & 12” vinyl record with spindle locking, that minimizes vibrations and unwanted noise. The X2′s CD player offers full MP3 playback capability as well as the ability to scratch, loop, manipulate and pitch adjust both audio and MP3 data CDs. It has a unique feature of playing both the CD and turntable simultaneously.

X2 have forward/reverse toggle with Bleep and a fader/remote start and relay play functions for CDs. The operating system firmware is user-updatable which is available on the Numark website from time to time. It has a line output, through illuminated output bay and detachable power & audio connections. The 3 stereo outputs are dedicated phono, dedicated CD and switched CD/turntable output. It comes with a built–in Beatkeeper™ that automatically calculates CD beats. Its anti–Shock buffer technology insures steady consistent playback and also has a sleep mode to switch if off when unused.

This 11.5 kg device is easy to carry and consumes very less power (90 W) as compared to many competitive turntables. For a DJ it is elegant, stylish and affordable with numerous features ingrained in it. X2 costs approximately $1000 USD.
