iRiver U Satellite TV and Media Player

iRiver, a Japanese electronics company has launched iRiver U satellite TV cum media player.

Apart from being a Satellite TV cum media player, the iRiver U is an all in one device as it can act as:

# Music Player supporting MP3/WMA/OGG formats
# Video Player supporting WMV/MPEG-4 formats
# MPEG-4 recorder
# FM radio

The iRiver U measures just 3.1 x 0.64 x 1.9 inches and incorporates a 320 x 240 screen. Moreover, it weighs just 73.8g.

Besides, on board a 1GB flash memory, a miniSD slot is offered to store bulky media files. A FM tuner rounds out the media types, with presets available for both the media player and the satellite TV. Also the iRiver U supports USB 2.0 so that the synchronizing process gets easier.

The battery life is rated for 24hrs of audio, 4.5hrs of pre-recorded video or 3hrs of satellite TV.

Unfortunately the iRiver U is available exclusively in the Japanese market and pricing info remains unknown.
