HTC HD2
HTC HD2, the closest competitor an iPhone can ever have. It’s a stunning device with a 4.3-inch wide screen display (which is much larger than the 3.8 inches of HTC Touch HD) and is the world’s first capacitive touch technology ever been build on a Windows phone (Windows Mobile 6.5).
Salient features:
- It has a 1 GHz processor which ensures smooth and lightning-fast response to the lightest touch of finger and
comes with the HTC Sense technology. - Now it is very easy because of its large screen, to customize the phone by putting shortcuts to the most important people, favorite websites, or most used application right on the home screen.
- Also comes with the application download option from Windows Marketplace for Mobile.
- The clock automatically updates to the local time wherever you are.
- The outside temperature and weather can be seen at a glance and if the weather wallpaper is chosen, brilliant lifelike animation can be felt that lets someone virtually feel the sun’s rays or the chill of the breeze without setting a foot outside.
- With HTC HD2, communication is focused around people rather than applications, so all of the interactions like email, SMS, phone logs, and even updates from Facebook are all in one place.
- In the front page of Sense there are three programmable slots which can be filled with shortcuts. Swipe these up and you can get access to nine other shortcut slots.
- The ringer volume level immediately scales down when the phone detects that it has been picked, and the display automatically adjusts to the light level in the surroundings and turns off to prevent false screen touches during a call.
- HD2 if flip to face down rejects any call.
- The HD2 has a really big screen, so the chances are that you’ll never have to use anything other than the full QWERTY keyboard in either landscape or portrait modes. But if you do want something else, a long press next to keyboard icon at the bottom will spring up the options for compact QWERTY or a 12-key keypad.
- With Sense you can swipe all the way to the right to access the settings, or simply swipe to the left from the front page.
- Apart from that the other major difference is that the mini USB connector has now been replaced by a micro USB connector.
- The screen is also WVGA screen and not a QVGA one like the previous handsets making the images as sharp as a tack and the colors as vibrant as you see in no other phone of its category.
- The phone also has a 5 mega pixel camera that takes great pictures during the day but has no flash which is a major disappointment.
- In addition to all this, the HTC HD2 also has a FM Radio and is GPS enabled which making tracking and locating destinations very simple.
- The phone also supports Wi-Fi connectivity and offers great internet speed of up to 7.2 Mbps using the 3G support.
The internal memory capacity is also pretty large at 512 MB and can be easily expanded up to a whopping 8 GB using the micro SD slot.
Overall the HTC HD2 is a really marvelous phone with lots of great features & functionalities that makes it both essential and useful. This phone will surely be a delight to users.
