Denon is back with the high definition audio technology S-5BD which is a versatile Integrated 5.1 CH Dual Zone A/V Receiver & Blu-ray/DVD/CD Player Combo. It provides an unparallel performance with extreme ease of use. It has the latest high definition surround sound decoder, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. It comes with center-mounted Blu-ray disc player drive. The setup is the easiest part due to its automatic configuration via Audyssey MultEQ room acoustic measurement and correction system, which detects the quantity and type of speakers, and provides precise tailoring of critical audio parameters for pristine sound quality. For this it comes with a measurement microphone. It has Audyssey Dynamic Equalizer which provides rich tonal balance at all volume levels, and also Audyssey Dynamic Volume which smoothes out jarring volume peaks, such as TV commercial interruptions. The front panel of S-5BD features dual side wing doors, which opens up for the ports & an SD memory card slot. The port includes one HDMI input and a USB port for direct iPod connection. When closed, the wings conceal wires for a clean, elegant look. The Blu-ray player incorporates features like BD-Live support via the Ethernet port and the support for Denon’s versatile iPod docks, including the ASD-51N and ASD-51W. The release of this elegant device is due this year and it will cost around $1800.
