Canon EF-S 18-135mm IS Lens

For the people who wants to upgrade from their basic EF-S 18-55mm IS or who just wants to enjoy the luxury and privilege of having the upgrade are recommended to go for the new kit lens EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS of Canon. The EF-S 18-135mm zoom features a powerful 7.5x range and Image Stabilisation to eliminate any wobbles. It is compatible with any EF-S based DSLR which essentially comprised of EOS 5D or EOS 1D series.

The most important feature of this model is the 7.5x optical range which allows the lens to zoom over two and a half times closer than the basic EF-S 18-55mm IS, allowing it to get much closer to distant detail. When attached to a compatible DSLR, the EF-S 18-135mm IS delivers an equivalent focal length of 29-216mm, taking into account the wide-angle to mid-telephoto, while including all the classic focal lengths for portrait work. It also handles blur backgrounds on portraits effectively due to its longer focal length. It also features Image Stabilisation to counteract camera-shake. Canon claims up to four stops of compensation, along with detection of panning and tripod use. The lens now has an improved look and feel with a textured finish which matches their recent higher-end bodies.

All and all EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS is a pretty decent upgrade to its predecessors which also puts less stress on the pocket and overall is a good buy.
