Barnes & Noble’s Nook
If we are talking about an ebook reader how can we avoid writing on the Nook. Nook is the closest competitor that Amazon ever had for its Kindle. Nook is a product of Barnes & Noble that works on the E Ink® 
display technology (just like other ebook readers) based on an Android platform. It is a very sleek device which weighs only 12.1 ounces. Similar to other readers it has no glare or backlight, and has adjustable text size. It can be connected to AT&T 3G wireless networks or just wi-fi to browse eBooks, magazines and newspapers. Every Barnes & Noble store has free Wi-Fi, so it can be directly connected to the online book store at lightning-fast speeds. Nook has an internal memory of 2GB which can be used to store up to 1500 ebooks, newspapers and magazines. For further space requirement, a memory card can also be added.
One differentiating factor of nook is the “LendMe” feature which allows the purchaser to lend or share some licensed book once, with one other user, for up to two weeks. It supports ePub, PDF and PDB ebook file formats.
Nook can be controlled with an easy-to-use full-color touchscreen which has been created to add colour to the otherwise monotonous clean E Ink® display. Fingers can be used to swipe through titles and if tapped on will open it up for the next read. Nook remembers the pages for each book where you have stopped reading it. Therefore, if needed any book can be opened from the point where you have left reading it. It also has a large, comfortable, virtual keyboard.
Though it still has sluggish performance but due to its elegant look and an enormous Barnes & Noble’s ebook library to back it up, it has already marked its way through the ever growing ebook reader market.

I am sorry the ebook reader is not available in India. Especially the Nook and Kindle as Amazon or Barnes & Noble are not officially been launched in India. The only way to get a reader is to get it from abroad but I can assure you that there won’t be any warranty on that. It’s pretty strange though that Sony is still holding on the release of its reader in India as it has a substantial consumer market here.
NOKKIA N72 seems attractive. What is the difference with its predecessor N 71 and N 70 – technically and price wise. Require the information before going to mobile store.
All the 3 models are obsolete. Better go for the new E series or N series touch screen music editions. They have gone pretty cheap now.
